Ghana Black Stars have been drawn into one of the most interesting groups of the expanded 2026 FIFA World Cup in USA, Canada and Mexico facing off against England, Croatia and Panama.
Seeded in Pot 4 as one of Africa’s unseeded qualifiers, Ghana (FIFA rank 72) was housed in group L alongside European powerhouses England (FIFA rank 4) and Croatia (FIFA rank 30) as well as CONCACAF’s rising force Panama (rank 30).
The Black Stars enter this “unofficial Group of Death as underdogs and debate has been ignited across the continent if Otto Addo and his team can secure a knockout spot but their World Cup history heroics like the 2010 quarterfinal run continue to fuel optimism.
