Otto Addo has named a strong Black Stars squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
After failing to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for the first time in two decades, the senior national team will regroup for their Mundial qualifiers later this month.
Addo, 49, has paraded a young mixed with experienced players for the Matchday five and six games of the qualifiers.
Jordan Ayew will lead the team as the skipper for the side, while Thomas Partey has made a return to the squad after missing out on the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Ivory Coast due to injury.
Meanwhile, Benjamine Asare of Hearts of Oak, Razak Simpson of Nations FC and Kamaradini Mamudu of Medeama SC have been named in the squad.
Ghana will take on Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, 2025. The team will then travel to Morocco to face Madagascar in another Group I encounter on Monday, March 24, 2025.
Otto Addo and the playing body are determined to continue their impressive run of form in the global showpiece qualifiers. Ghana, after four games played, sit 2nd in Group I with nine points.
The team will open camp on Monday, March 17, 2025 in Accra.
