The Ghana embassy in the UK, and Prince Lamona Consult, served as the opener for a talent identification programme for Ghanaian players [U15-U20]with Category One academies set to follow on Thursday.
Among the speakers were Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK, Sabah Zita Benson, Michael Essien, GFA President Kurt Okraku, and the mother of Antoine Semenyo, Dela Dzebu. The event was well attended, with over 200 people present for the session, reflecting the growing interest in Ghana’s efforts to identify and attract talented players at an early stage. This is only the beginning, with more engagement sessions expected in the future as Ghana hopes to attract talented players much earlier into the national team setup.
