Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, following his visit to Ghana.
The Belgium international is on holidays in the country of his parents, and has been involved in a series of activities, with the visit to the King of the Ashanti kingdom, a significant part of his trip.
Doku and his family, accompanied by Akosua Dentaa Amoateng MBE, received blessings from Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as the player immerses himself into his Ghanaian heritage.
The Premier League winner presented the king with a Manchester City jersey.
Doku also visited his family house in Accra, Ghana, before taking part in a community game with locals from Madina. He also watched two teams from Madina engage in a match, with the winners presented a trophy and medals.
While enjoying his vacation, Doku took an emotional trip to Cape Coast, where he visited the famous Elmina Castle.
The 23-year-old was part of Manchester City’s squad for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. He made three appearances, scoring two goals as the English giants were eliminated by Saudi club Al Hilal in the round of 16.
He will be returning to England after his vacation to begin pre-season with his club.
