Black Stars’ new head coach Carlos Queiroz has pledged his full commitment to Ghana, describing his appointment as a mission driven by passion, responsibility, and respect for the nation’s football heritage.
In his first message following his appointment by the Ghana Football Association, the veteran coach expressed deep gratitude and outlined his vision for the team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Queiroz made it clear that his role goes beyond a typical managerial appointment, emphasising his emotional connection to the challenge.
“It is with a deep sense of gratitude, responsibility and humility that I embrace this new chapter with Ghana. This is not just another job ; it is a mission.”
He highlighted Ghana’s football identity, praising the country’s talent and rich history while expressing confidence in its future.
“Ghana is a nation of talent, pride, and footballing soul. I arrive with respect for its history and belief in its future.”
