The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released Ghana’s official squad for the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which is ongoing in Egypt.
The Black Satellites will kick off their campaign on Friday, May 2, against Group C rivals DR Congo.
Desmond Ofei and his side have been camping in the North African country for days before the start of the tournament as part of their acclimatisation process.
Meanwhile, there have been concerns raised about some players in the squad, with some reports suggesting that not all players have arrived at the team’s base in Egypt.
However, the remaining players are expected to report to camp before the team play their opening game on Friday.
Desmond Ofei, who also doubles as an assistant coach of the Black Stars, is aiming to guide the side to the U-20 World Cup later this year.
